Happy birthday pointlesstuff.blogspot.com! You're a year old today! Like many of my posts, this one is being done in science class. Some teachers are not very organized. My teacher told us about the test I just took Wednesday. She said we should study over the weekend. But this weekend was the weekend that the class needed most for the project she assigned. And I also needed to watch the tar heels play! And they played great. I mean, you have to be beating a team by 50 to be able to put in your scrubs with 8 minutes left!!! Ok, time for lunch. Happy birthday my website!

Wake The Neighbors
Well, I can't say anything about the Wake basketball team until they lose in the tournament to UNC, but I can sure as heck make fun of their slogans and merchendise! When Wake first started making those tie-dye tee shirts for their students and started advertising their slogan "Wake The Neighbors," I thought it was clever and good for a small school starting to have a big basketball program. When they first started mass producing the shirts I thought, 'good for them.' Then I started seeing my dorky friends wearing them around school. I got over it. But at the ACC tournament last year, some older wake fans stood up in the tie-dye shirts and started chanting 'yeah! Wake the neighbors!' I also got over that, but started getting a little annoyed, not just by that, but because I couldn't and currently can't get that stupid little song that they play at the games and on commercials out of my head. And then today I lost all respect for the campaign when I saw a rather elderly woman exiting the grocery store wearing the updated 'Wake the nation' shirt while on her walker. Wake, despite beating UNC, I like your basketball program, but I dislike your advertising very much.

Uh, I don't know why I'm blogging right now. I just gotta say that I'm upset that UNC and Wake don't get to play again. And http://www.acchoops.blogspot.com has got the ACC coverage, um, covered.

The Deep Breath Before The Plunge
AAAHHHH! I CAN'T WAIT ANYMORE! It's been a constant battle in my school. Wake is better, UNC is better. I can't take wait. I must see Carolina win and prove that this is the year for the Tar Heels. It's just been 'oh, well Wake is really deep' and 'Chris Paul is...' UGH! Though Wake will be at home, I think the Heels will win because Wake is not used to the pressure of haveing a great team. I mean, Carolina should win, right, c'mon, their really good this year, I mean, oh I CANT WAIT ANYMORE!!!!!

Short Thougts, Short Post
I just have a few things to say. One is why the heck is Ashlee Simpson still trying? If she gives another concert, she's crazy. She got caught on SNL and her last two tries with her real voice have stunk. She has enough money to retire already. Also, how 'bout those tarheels. If they beat Maryland by double digits, they are for real. And last, Addictinggames.com. Pretty self explaining.

Today is just one of those days. The holidays are gone and your presents lay strewn around the house. My head has gotten used to a long headache, my mind is shut off. My stomach is sick from salty foods and from watching the movie Super Size Me. Never again will I eat at McDonalds. On to business. My town's local team has changed its name/mascot from the Greensboro Bats to the Greensboro Grasshoppers. Could we have a worse choice? Doubtful. The change is aimed at kids. Are grasshoppers fun now? People of the baseball world; any kid who didn't get the pun Bats isn't interested in baseball! Oh yeah, and the new slogan is Catch the Bug. I geuss they thought it was appropriate because there was a shortage of flu shots. I will probably never regain the little respect I had for the former Bats.
